The Record

Every tracker tells you where a deal stands. This one keeps where it stood — so a move that sat at "advanced" and then died leaves a trace.

Why this exists

Transfer reporting is graded on nothing. A deal is called done, then it is not, and by the following week nobody is keeping score. This page is an attempt at keeping score: a dated snapshot of every deal the site tracks, appended each time the data is updated, so status changes become a record rather than a memory.

It is deliberately honest about its own age. The ledger starts on 2026-08-19. Nothing before that has been reconstructed, because a deal's history cannot be recovered from prose after the fact without guessing — and a reliability record built on guesses would be worth less than no record.

The data

All of it is published, not just displayed: every club as JSON at /data/, dated snapshots under /data/history/, and the running transitions ledger at /data/transitions.json.

Questions

How reliable is transfer news?

Nobody publishes a proper answer, because measuring it requires keeping a dated record of what was reported and then checking what happened. This page is that record. It starts on 2026-08-19 and grows daily; until enough deals have run their course, treat the counts below as a description of the window rather than a verdict on anybody's reporting.

What do the deal stages mean?

Done means a club has officially announced it — the only stage treated as fact. Advanced means agreed or through a medical but unannounced. Talks means clubs are negotiating. Reported interest is a link with no confirmed negotiation. The distinction matters: an advanced deal is not a completed one, and this site has had advanced deals collapse.

Where do the sources come from?

Individual deals carry a link to the reporting they rest on, shown under the note. Coverage is partial and growing — 24 of 522 current deal rows are sourced today. A row without a link is not less true, it simply has not had its provenance recorded yet.

Can I use this data?

Yes. Every club's data is published as JSON at /data/, with a snapshot history under /data/history/ and the transitions ledger at /data/transitions.json. Attribution appreciated.
